CompareTradervue alternative for prop firm traders
Tradervue is a steady, report-heavy journal that many stock and futures traders have used for years. It was not built around prop firm rules, and its site does not claim otherwise. This page lays out what it does well, where a funded trader runs out of road, and how Proof fills that gap.

What Tradervue does well
Checked on Tradervue's plans page and help center in October 2026:
Reports. This is Tradervue's strength. Silver lists more than 100 advanced reports; Gold lists more than 300, with risk tracking, exit analysis, liquidity reports and commission and fee support. If you want to slice performance by time of day, hold time, instrument or tag, Tradervue has had a report for it for a long time.
A real free plan. Basic is $0 and allows up to 30 trades a month with basic journaling, basic reporting, broker import, price charts, tagging and community sharing. For a trader taking a handful of swing trades a month, that is a working journal at no cost.
Broker import and sync. All plans include trade import from a supported broker list. The paid plans list Broker Sync. Tradervue does not publish a broker count on its plans page, so we are not quoting one.
Sharing and mentoring. Shared trades with the community on every plan, and mentoring (coach and student access) on Silver and Gold. Tradervue's own writing describes a Shared Trades Community and free webinars.
Clean export. Silver and Gold can download a CSV of trades from the Trades page in one click. That makes it one of the easiest journals on this list to leave, which is to its credit.
Pricing is simple. Basic $0, Silver $29 a month, Gold $49 a month, with a 7-day trial on paid plans. (A second Tradervue page shows $29.95 and $49.95, so expect the exact figure to vary. Prices change.)
Where it falls short for funded traders
No prop firm rule tracking. Tradervue's plans page mentions "Tradervue for trading firms," which is about proprietary trading firms as customers, not evaluation rules for retail funded accounts. We found no daily loss, trailing drawdown, consistency or payout features anywhere on its site.
No news calendar. Nothing on the plans page or feature list about economic events or block windows.
No AI. Tradervue's site does not mention AI features. If you want a coach that reads your own journal and answers questions about it, you will need to pair it with something else.
Market coverage stops at forex. Stocks, ETFs, options, futures and forex are listed. Crypto and CFDs are not. For a trader on a CFD-based firm, sizing and symbols will not match.
No routine layer. There is no daily checklist, streak or mindset check-in. The journal records what happened; it does not run a pre-session.
The free plan is small for day traders. 30 trades a month is roughly one and a half trades a day. Most scalpers blow through that in a week and land on Silver.
How Proof is different
Proof covers the part of the day Tradervue leaves alone: the rules that end accounts.
Per-account rule tracking. Daily loss (balance, equity or end-of-day), max loss and trailing drawdown in its four variants, open-risk caps, consistency rules, minimum profit days and payout schedules. Presets for FXIFY, FundingPips, FundedNext, Goat Funded, FTMO, The5ers, Topstep and Apex, plus custom. The rules hub shows what each firm enforces.
Risk Guard and Challenge HQ. Live room to today's limit and to the max-loss floor per account, a position sizer for every market, and one screen with every account's progress, floors, targets and payout eligibility.
Target. A projected payout date per account from that firm's schedule and rules. The free payout date calculator does a single account.
News windows per firm. A single calendar from several top sources combined plus the firm's list, filtered to your markets, with block windows per firm. Earnings for stocks and options traders.
Vera, included. An AI coach that answers from your journal, your rules and live market data. 500 credits a month on every plan.
Rule Cost and Proof Scale. Dollars lost to each broken rule, and on every trade: could-have-lost, actual, left on table, heat and run.
Routine. Daily checklist with streaks, mindset check-ins, missed setups scored against real candles, weekly recap, PDF report card.
Every market. Forex, futures, stocks, options and crypto, each sized in its own units (lots, contracts, shares, coins).
Price. $49 a month, $399 a year or $499 lifetime at special pricing; regular pricing later is $59, $499 and $999. 7-day refund.
Who should stay with Tradervue
Tradervue is a good journal for the trader it was built for. It just was not built for a trader who has to stay above a trailing floor at three firms at once.
- You trade a personal stock or futures account, not a funded one, and the 300+ reports on Gold are the reason you journal.
- You take fewer than 30 trades a month and the free Basic plan already does the job.
- You mentor or are mentored through Tradervue's coach and student access, and that relationship lives there.
- You have several years of history in Tradervue and compare current months to old ones often.
- Your broker is on Tradervue's sync list and you do not want to import files.
Switching from Tradervue to Proof
Tradervue's help center confirms CSV export: log in, open Trades, and click the Download CSV button at the lower-right edge of the columns. Export is available on Silver and Gold, not Basic. If you are on Basic, export directly from your broker or platform instead.
Import the file into Proof, attach each account to its firm preset, and Proof rebuilds daily loss, drawdown floors and consistency position from the history. Tags and notes do not carry over; trades and numbers do.
If you want to see the gap first, run the same CSV through the free Proof Score. It returns your score, your biggest leak and what rule breaks have cost, without an account.

How much does Tradervue cost?
Basic is free with up to 30 trades a month. Silver is $29 a month and Gold is $49 a month on the plans page (another Tradervue page shows $29.95 and $49.95). Paid plans have a 7-day free trial. Prices change.
Can I export my trades from Tradervue?
Yes, on Silver and Gold. Open Trades and click Download CSV. The free Basic plan does not include export.
Does Tradervue have AI?
Tradervue's site does not mention AI features as of October 2026. Proof includes Vera, an AI coach, with 500 credits a month in every plan.
Which is better for a funded forex or gold trader, Tradervue or Proof?
For rule tracking, news windows and payout timing, Proof, because Tradervue has none of those. For report depth on a personal stock or futures account, Tradervue has the larger library.
Does Proof sync with my broker?
No. Proof imports CSV files and supports manual logging. Tradervue lists broker sync on its paid plans.
