Proof / Compare / TraderSync alternative
CompareTraderSync alternative for prop firm traders
TraderSync is a polished, broker-connected journal with a strong mobile app and a market replay simulator. It is also a journal that, on its own pricing and feature pages, says nothing about prop firm rules. This page covers what it does well, where a funded trader is left doing the math by hand, and how Proof is different.

What TraderSync does well
Checked on TraderSync's pricing, trading journal and support pages in October 2026:
Broker auto-sync. TraderSync says it connects with over 700 brokers and trading platforms, with automatic sync on every plan. IBKR, Binance, TradeStation, Webull and Coinbase Pro are named. That is the largest published count on this list.
Mobile apps. iOS and Android apps are included on all plans, with full analytics, journal and reports. Several competitors are web-only.
Market replay. Replay any trading day with historical data and practice; trades taken in replay are logged automatically. Precision scales by plan: 1-minute on Pro, 1-second on Premium, 250 milliseconds on Elite.
Reports built for the post-mortem. Individual trade reports, rolling exit reports, MFE and MAE, a what-if simulator and an Evaluator for side-by-side strategy comparison. Time-based breakdowns show best hours, days and months.
Cypher AI. An AI assistant on every plan, capped at 5, 15 or 60 messages a day by tier, with a proactive Cypher Coach on Elite.
Personal rules. You can set personal trading rules and track trades against them, with R-multiple scoring against a set risk amount.
Pricing. Pro $29.95 a month, Premium $49.95 a month, Elite $79.95 a month at list, with a running discount showing $22.46, $37.46 and $59.96 in October 2026. Annual is $269.52, $449.52 and $719.52. Every plan has a 7-day free trial. Prices change.
Where it falls short for funded traders
No prop firm rule features on its site. Neither the pricing page nor the trading journal page mentions prop firms, daily loss limits, trailing drawdown, consistency rules or payouts. The personal rules feature lets you define a rule and see whether you followed it; it does not know what FTMO or Apex will do when you break theirs.
No news calendar. We found no economic calendar or per-firm block window.
No payout timing. Nothing on the site projects when an account becomes payout-eligible.
Account caps. Pro covers 5 accounts. Premium and Elite are listed as unlimited in one place on the pricing page and as 20 and 50 in the comparison table. If you run many evaluations at once, check which figure applies before you pay.
AI by the message. Cypher's daily caps (5 messages on Pro) run out fast during a review. The coach that reads your journal proactively is Elite-only at $79.95 a month list.
Rule cost. You can track rule adherence, but we found no feature that totals what each broken rule has cost in dollars.
How Proof is different
Proof starts from the firm's rulebook. The specific differences from TraderSync:
Per-account rule tracking. Daily loss (balance, equity or end-of-day based), max loss and trailing drawdown (high-water, equity, end-of-day, locking), open-risk caps, consistency rules, minimum profit days and payout schedules. Presets for FXIFY, FundingPips, FundedNext, Goat Funded, FTMO, The5ers, Topstep and Apex, plus custom. See every firm's rules.
Risk Guard. Live room left today and to the max-loss floor per account, plus a position sizer for every market.
Challenge HQ and Target. Every account's floors, targets and payout eligibility on one screen, and a projected payout date per account from that firm's schedule.
News windows per firm. One calendar from several top sources combined plus the firm's own list, filtered to your markets, with block windows per firm. Earnings for stocks and options; energy reports for oil and gas traders.
Vera, included. 500 AI credits a month on every plan, including the cheapest, not gated by tier. Vera answers from your own journal, your rules and live market data.
Rule Cost and Proof Scale. Dollars lost to each broken rule, and on every trade: could-have-lost, actual, left on table, heat and run.
Routine. Daily checklist with streaks, mindset check-ins, missed setups scored against real candles, weekly recap, PDF report card. Try the free daily routine checklist.
Platforms. Web, Android and Windows apps.
Price. $49 a month, $399 a year or $499 lifetime at special pricing; regular pricing later is $59, $499 and $999. One plan, all features, all accounts. 7-day refund.
Who should stay with TraderSync
TraderSync is a good general journal with excellent plumbing. If the thing that scares you is a trailing floor rather than a bad setup, that plumbing does not help.
- Your broker is one of the 700+ TraderSync syncs and you refuse to touch a CSV. This is the single biggest reason to stay.
- You journal mostly from your phone and need a full iOS app. Proof has Android and Windows apps plus web, not iOS.
- Market replay is part of your daily practice, especially at 1-second or faster precision.
- You trade a personal account, not a funded one, and firm rules are not your constraint.
- You are on the Elite plan and Cypher Coach already does the proactive review you want.
Switching from TraderSync to Proof
TraderSync's support center confirms CSV export. On the Trades page, select trades (or use the header checkbox for the whole list), then click the export icon in the toolbar; a CSV downloads. The list respects your filters and date range, so clear filters first if you want everything. Individual executions can be exported from the three-dot menu.
Import the CSV into Proof, assign each account to its firm preset, and Proof rebuilds daily loss, drawdown floors and consistency position from the history. Screenshots and notes stay behind; trades and numbers come across.
To see the difference first, run the same CSV through the free Proof Score for your score, your biggest leak and your rule-break cost.
