FundedNext Rules Explained (2026)

FundedNext Stellar Instant has no daily loss limit, which is exactly why traders breach it. Here is every rule with the numbers on a $10,000 account, plus the Stellar evaluations in brief. Checked against FundedNext's help center and program pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard.

Overview: Stellar Instant and the Stellar evaluations

Stellar Instant is a funded account from day one. Sizes are $2K, $5K, $10K and $20K, priced on the program page in October 2026 at $59.99, $149.99, $299.99 and $599.99 (the $2K was showing a $49.99 promotion). Total active allocation is capped at $20K and accounts cannot be merged. The split starts at 70% and rises to 80% from Tier 3; there is no fee refund and no profit target.

The Stellar evaluations keep the familiar shape. Stellar 2-Step: 8% then 5%, 5% daily loss, 10% static max loss, 5 minimum trading days, first reward after 21 days then every 14. Stellar 1-Step: 10% target, 3% daily, 6% static, 2 trading days, rewards every 5 business days. Stellar Lite: 8% then 4%, 4% daily, 8% static, 2 days, rewards every 10 days. Evaluation splits run up to 95%, with the challenge fee refunded with an early reward.

All four programs share the same news rule and the same 3% open-risk rule on the funded account. The Instant account is different in one way that matters: its max loss trails.

Rules that end the account

Stellar Instant has one hard loss limit. Everything else is a conduct rule, and conduct rules at FundedNext escalate rather than terminate on the first offense.

Daily loss
None on Stellar Instant. FundedNext's page: no daily loss limit, only the 6% trailing maximum loss limit applies. On the evaluations: 5% (2-Step), 3% (1-Step) or 4% (Lite) of the initial balance.
Max loss
Stellar Instant: 6% of the initial balance, trailing your highest recorded balance and capped at the starting balance. On $10K the floor starts at $9,400, reaches $10,000 when balance touches $10,600, and never moves again. Losses do not lower it; withdrawals do not reset it. Breach is tested on balance falling below the active floor. Evaluations: static 10%, 6% or 8% below the start.
Open risk
Maximum 3% of the initial balance at risk at any time, counting stop-loss distance and floating losses on every open position. On $10K that is $300 across all trades. The help center does not spell out penalties; our October 2026 notes record the first offense costing that trade's profit and the second cutting the cap to 1%. Confirm the current penalty in your dashboard.
News
Allowed, but trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact event on a correlated pair keep only 40% of their profit. Losses count in full. There is no breach, just the haircut.
Weekend/overnight
Allowed with no restriction on Stellar Instant. Swap charges apply; a Swap-Free add-on exists on the evaluations.
Consistency
None on Stellar Instant per the program page. The related rule is Quick Strike: trades closed within 30 seconds of opening are measured as a share of cycle profit (the evaluation page sets that share at 30%; the Instant article gives no threshold).
Other
Anything meant to exploit or cheat the system is a permanent breach under the terms, and our notes list copy trading, grid, HFT, tick scalping and cross-account hedging as named examples. Leverage: forex 1:30, indices 1:10, commodities 1:10, crypto 1:1, stocks 1:2. EAs and VPS are add-ons.

Rules that block payouts

  • Minimum 1% growth on the account before any reward. On $10K you need the balance at $10,100 or above.
  • On-demand rewards need 5% growth confirmed at end of day. After a new trade the transfer option is disabled until the next EOD check.
  • Bi-weekly rewards at 1% to 5% growth can be requested 14 days after the cycle start date.
  • Quick Strike profit from trades closed inside 30 seconds counts against you when it is a large share of the cycle; keep it well under 30%.
  • News trades pay 40 cents on the dollar. A $500 winner opened 3 minutes before a release counts $200 toward the reward.
  • Withdrawing the full reward can breach the account. FundedNext's own example: a $100 reward from a $10,200 balance cuts the buffer to the floor from $600 to $500. Taking everything in a Tier 1 cycle leaves 7% growth, below the 10% scale-up requirement, and the article says that results in a breach.

Easy to miss

  • No daily limit means the 6% is your only stop. One bad session on $10K can take the whole $600 of room. Set your own daily number.
  • The floor trails balance, not equity, but a partial close at a high moves it. Scale out of a winner at $10,550 and the floor is $9,950 before the rest of the position is done.
  • The 3% open-risk rule counts stop distance, not just floating red. Three trades with $100 stops each on $10K are at the cap before any of them moves.
  • Withdrawals shrink the gap to the floor. The floor never falls, so a reward that drops balance to $10,050 leaves $50 of room against a $10,000 floor.
  • Correlated pairs count for news. A gold trade is inside the window for a US dollar release.
  • The 30-second rule is about share of profit, not a ban. Fast scalps are fine until they are most of the cycle.

How to track it

Track the trailing floor by hand: highest closed balance minus 6% of the start, capped at the start balance. Update it every time balance makes a new high, including partial closes. Beside it keep the gap between current balance and the floor; that gap is your real account.

Before each entry add the dollar distance to every open stop plus any floating loss. If the total would pass 3% of the start ($300 on $10K), do not take the trade. Keep a self-imposed daily loss line well inside the 6% so one session cannot end the account.

Log the open and close time of every trade against your news list with a 5-minute block each side, and tag the trades inside it so you know what will be haircut at reward time. Count seconds held too. The drawdown calculator runs the capped trail for any size, and the payout date calculator tracks the 14-day and on-demand dates.

In Proof

Proof tracks every FundedNext rule for you

The FundedNext preset runs the balance-trailing floor that caps at your start, the 3% total open-risk check before each trade, the 40% news haircut on tagged trades and the 30-second share, and lets you add the daily stop the firm does not give you.

Frequently asked questions

Does FundedNext Stellar Instant have a daily loss limit?

No. The only loss limit is the 6% trailing maximum loss, which trails your highest balance and caps at the starting balance. That makes a self-imposed daily stop the most important rule you set yourself.

How does the FundedNext 6% trailing drawdown work?

The floor sits 6% of the initial balance below your highest recorded balance and rises only as balance makes new highs. It stops at the starting balance, never comes down, and does not reset after a withdrawal. On $10K it starts at $9,400 and locks at $10,000.

What is the FundedNext 3% risk rule?

Total risk across all open trades, measured by stop distance and floating losses, cannot exceed 3% of the initial balance at any moment. On $10K that is $300 in total, not per trade.

Can I trade news on FundedNext?

Yes, but trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact event on a correlated pair keep only 40% of their profit. Losses count in full. It is a haircut, not a breach.

How do FundedNext Stellar Instant payouts work?

On demand at 5% growth confirmed at end of day, or bi-weekly at 1% to 5% growth from 14 days after the cycle start. Split is 70% in Tiers 1 and 2 and 80% from Tier 3. Withdrawing everything can leave you on the floor.
