BluSky Trading Rules Explained (2026)

BluSky runs three futures plan families. Launch and Propel go through an evaluation, a Buffer Zone and a Sim Funded account; Orbit has two phases. None has a daily loss limit. Here are the numbers on a 50K. Rules were checked against BluSky's published help center pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard before you trade.

Overview: Launch, Propel and Orbit

Launch is a monthly evaluation in 50K, 100K and 200K. The 50K needs $3,000 with a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown, 5 minis or 50 micros, 50% consistency and at least 2 profitable days. A launch fee is due only when you pass: $99 on 50K, $149 on 100K, $179 on 200K, payable within 14 days.

Propel is a monthly evaluation in six sizes, 25K to 300K, with no launch fee. The 50K has the same $3,000 target and $2,000 trailing drawdown, 34% consistency and at least 3 profitable days. The 150K, 200K and 300K Propel sizes use a static drawdown instead.

After a Launch or Propel pass the balance resets for the Buffer Zone: on the 50K you make another $3,000 under 34% consistency. That profit becomes the starting balance of your Sim Funded account, where payouts happen.

Orbit is one-time with no subscription and no launch fee. The 50K evaluation needs $3,000 within 30 days with a $2,000 trailing drawdown and no consistency rule, then goes straight to a $50,000 Sim Funded account.

BluSky's help center does not print subscription or Orbit purchase prices; it points to the plans page. Check checkout for the current price.

Rules that end the account

BluSky's evaluation rules say the drawdown is the only way to fail. Consistency raises the target; contract overages can lead to a restart or liquidation.

Daily loss
None on Launch, Propel or Orbit. Sim Funded on Launch and Propel makes you stop for the day at $5,000 profit and for the week at $10,000.
Max loss
End-of-day trailing on most sizes. The 50K minimum starts at $48,000 and rises with the highest end-of-day balance; a close at $50,750 sets it at $48,750, and a later lower close leaves it there. Falling to it at any point fails the account. Static sizes keep a fixed floor.
Sim Funded floor
Launch and Propel Sim Funded accounts start at the buffer you earned, $3,000 on 50K, and close if equity falls to the $100 minimum balance. Orbit Sim Funded starts at $50,000 with a $2,000 floor that trails closed daily profit and locks at $50,000 once lifetime net profit reaches $2,000.
Contracts
Evaluation 50K: 5 minis or 50 micros. Orbit Sim Funded 50K: 2 minis or 20 micros. Going over does not fail you outright, but BluSky may liquidate, restart or deny brokerage entry.

Payout rules

  • Launch and Propel Sim Funded: request any weekday on balance above the starting balance. Minimum $500 on Launch, $250 on Propel. 7-day cap $2,500 on the 50K.
  • Orbit Sim Funded: payouts unlock above $52,000 on 50K and can be requested every three trading days, with a $500 minimum, a $2,000 7-day cap and 40% consistency (largest profitable day divided by the sum of profitable days).
  • Between requests you need one meaningful profitable day. Flipping contracts does not count.
  • Split: 90% to you on all plans.
  • Timing: requests before 11am ET are processed the same trading day. Unclaimed payouts are forfeited after 30 days.
  • Live review: $10,000 of total profit triggers a Live Brokerage review, where the caps come off.

News and trading hours

News trading is allowed at your own risk. It does not fail an account.

BluSky recommends closing all trades before 4:45pm ET (3:45pm CT). The system tries to auto-liquidate about 15 minutes before the market close, but BluSky says this is not guaranteed and that you are responsible for closing your own trades. A loss caused by a failed auto-liquidation can still fail the account.

Worked example on a 50K

On a Propel 50K evaluation you start with a $48,000 minimum. You close day 1 at $50,750, so the minimum moves to $48,750. Your best day is $1,200 and you reach $3,000 total. With 34% consistency the target becomes $1,200 / 0.34, about $3,530, so you keep trading until total profit reaches that and you have 3 profitable days.

In the Buffer Zone you make another $3,000, with no day above $1,020. Sim Funded then starts at $3,000 with a $100 floor. After a $900 profitable week the balance is $3,900; you can request the $900 above the start, above the $250 Propel minimum and under the $2,500 cap, and keep $810.

How Proof tracks it

Proof's BluSky presets run an end-of-day trailing floor for trailing sizes, a fixed floor for static sizes and the $100 minimum on Launch and Propel Sim Funded. Risk Guard checks the floor against live equity and sizes contracts against your phase's limit.

Proof calculates consistency the way BluSky does, largest profitable day over the sum of profitable days, shows how far the target has moved, tracks the 7-day payout cap and the $5,000 daily stop, and sets a close alarm before 4:45pm ET. Proof warns and tracks; it does not close trades at your broker.

Proof tracks every BluSky rule for you

The BluSky presets run the right floor for each plan and phase, calculate consistency the way BluSky does, show how far your target has moved, track the 7-day payout cap and remind you to be flat before 4:45pm ET.
