Lucid Trading Rules Explained (2026)

Lucid Trading sells three evaluations and one straight-to-funded account, all one-time fees with the same lock point on a 50K. Here is what differs. Rules were checked against Lucid Trading's published help center and product pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard before you trade.

Overview: Flex, Pro, Daily and Direct

Every Lucid account is a one-time fee with no monthly rebilling and no activation fee. The help pages do not print prices, so take them from checkout. On a 50K the target is $3,000 (25K $1,250), the Max Loss Limit is $2,000 and you can trade 4 minis or 40 micros.

LucidFlex has a 40% consistency rule and a 3-day minimum in the evaluation, an optional daily loss limit, and no consistency rule once funded. Funded contracts scale with profit. LucidPro has a fixed $1,200 daily loss limit on 50K, no evaluation consistency rule (you can pass in a day) and a 40% rule on funded payouts. LucidDaily lets you pick intraday or end-of-day drawdown at checkout, has a 50% evaluation rule and pays daily. LucidDirect skips the evaluation and uses a 20% consistency rule on payouts.

Lucid lists LucidBlack in a Legacy section of its help center; it is not covered here.

Rules that end the account

Only the Max Loss Limit is a hard breach. Every daily loss limit at Lucid is a soft breach: you cannot trade again until the next session, but the account stays open.

Daily loss
LucidFlex and LucidDaily: optional, chosen at checkout ($1,200 on a 50K LucidDaily; the LucidFlex 100K product page lists $1,800). LucidPro and LucidDirect: $1,200 fixed on 50K until the account closes above $52,100, then it becomes 60% of your highest end-of-day profit and never falls.
Max loss
$2,000 on 50K. Flex, Pro and Direct trail your highest end-of-day close. LucidDaily funded trails intraday. On every plan the floor locks at $50,100 once the balance passes $52,100. On LucidFlex a payout request also locks it there. If the trailing floor rises above a fixed daily limit during a session, the floor is the stricter line.
Contracts
4 minis or 40 micros on 50K. LucidFlex funded scales: 2 minis until $1,000 of profit, 3 until $2,000, then 4. Pro, Daily and Direct have no scaling plan.
Hedging
Prohibited, including across your own accounts and correlated instruments.
Overnight
Not allowed on sim accounts. Positions are auto-closed at 4:45pm ET; missing the cutoff does not fail the account.
Inactivity
Accounts not traded for 30 calendar days may be deleted. Up to 5 funded and 10 total accounts per household.

Payout rules

Payouts have no fixed window at Lucid. Once the conditions are met you can request on any day, and the split is 90/10 on every plan.

  • LucidFlex funded: 5 profitable days of $150 or more on 50K, up to 50% of profit per request, $500 minimum, capped at $2,000 on 50K for every payout. No buffer and no consistency rule. Five payouts, then live.
  • LucidPro funded: profit above a $52,100 buffer on 50K, at least $500 of profit per cycle, best day 40% or less of cycle profit. Cap $2,000 on the first payout and $2,500 after.
  • LucidDaily funded: any day once you are above the $52,100 buffer and net profit since the last payout is positive. The maximum is everything above the buffer. An $8,000 day on 50K moves you to live.
  • LucidDirect: a $3,000 profit goal for the first payout on 50K and $2,500 for each after, best day 20% or less of cycle profit, caps $2,000 for payouts 1 to 3 and $2,500 for 4 and 5. The product page also lists 10 trading days.
  • Requests are final. You cannot edit or cancel one, and a loss that drops you into the buffer before it is processed can get it denied.

News and trading hours

News trading is allowed on LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect. LucidDaily funded accounts are the exception: trading US high-impact news is a hard breach, and you must have no position from 1 minute before to 1 minute after the release.

All positions must be closed by 4:45pm ET (3:45pm CT) Monday to Friday, and earlier when a holiday shortens the session. Trading resumes at 6:00pm ET.

Worked example on a 50K

You buy a LucidPro 50K. The floor starts at $48,000 and the daily limit is $1,200. Day 1 you are down $1,200 by 10am: trading stops until the evening session, the account survives, and the floor stays $48,000. Day 2 closes at $51,000 and the floor moves to $49,000. Day 3 closes at $53,200 and you pass.

On the funded account the same rules restart at $50,000. When it closes at $52,300 the floor locks at $50,100 and the daily limit switches to 60% of your best end-of-day profit: 60% of $2,300 is $1,380.

To request $500 you need at least $52,600, with your best day no more than 40% of cycle profit. On $2,600 of profit that means no day above $1,040.

How Proof tracks it

Proof's Lucid presets run the end-of-day floor (intraday for LucidDaily funded) and lock it at $50,100. Risk Guard shows room to whichever is nearer, the soft daily limit or the floor, and on Pro and Direct it switches the daily limit to 60% of your peak end-of-day profit once you pass $52,100.

For payouts Proof counts $150 days on Flex, tracks the buffer, profit goal and consistency on Pro, Daily and Direct, and shows the cap for your next payout. The news calendar blocks the 1-minute windows on LucidDaily funded accounts, and a close alarm fires before 4:45pm ET. Proof warns and tracks; it does not close trades at your broker.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Lucid Trading drawdown end-of-day?

On LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect, yes. LucidDaily lets you choose intraday or end-of-day for the evaluation, and its funded page lists intraday. On every plan a 50K floor locks at $50,100 once the balance passes $52,100.

Does Lucid Trading have a daily loss limit?

LucidPro and LucidDirect do: $1,200 on 50K, later 60% of your best end-of-day profit. On LucidFlex and LucidDaily it is optional. Every Lucid daily limit is a soft breach that pauses you until the next session.

What is the Lucid Trading consistency rule?

LucidFlex evaluation 40% (50% with add-on), LucidDaily evaluation 50%, LucidPro funded payouts 40% and LucidDirect payouts 20%. LucidFlex funded has none.

Can I trade news at Lucid Trading?

Yes on LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect. On a LucidDaily funded account, holding or opening a position within 1 minute of US high-impact news is a hard breach.

What time do I need to be flat at Lucid Trading?

4:45pm ET (3:45pm CT) Monday to Friday. Positions are closed automatically then, and missing the cutoff does not fail the account.
