Overview: 1-Step Pro, 2-Step Pro, 2-Step Day and Swing, Instant Funding
Funding Traders sells four evaluation families and an instant account, all on the same leverage table (1:50 on FX majors, 1:20 on gold). 1-Step Pro asks for 10% in one phase with at least 2 trading days, a 3% daily loss, a 10% max loss that trails the highest balance and a 2% risk cap per trade idea. It pays 90% by default.
2-Step Pro comes in PRO6 (6% and 6%, 3% daily, 6% static) and PRO10 (10% and 5%, 5% daily, 10% static), with 4 trading days per phase and an 80% default split. 2-Step Day and Swing both ask 10% then 5% with 5% daily and 10% static; Day closes positions every day at 16:55 New York time, Swing can hold over weekends and pays 70%, 80% then 90%.
Instant Funding (accounts bought from October 8, 2026) has no target, a 3% daily loss, a 6% trailing max loss that locks at the start once you are 3% up, a 1% floating-loss cap, a 15% consistency rule, a 3% safety cushion and a 100% split. A third-party price list from July 2026 showed 1-Step Pro from $49 (5K) to $999 (200K) and Instant from $159 (10K) to $2,349 (400K); the help center prints no prices, so check the order form.
Rules that end the account
Every hard rule is checked on equity or balance at any point in the day, with floating losses included.
Payout rules
- Evaluation accounts pay every 21 days, the first 21 days after the first funded trade; a 14-day add-on is available. At least 2 funded trading days (4 on 2-Step Day).
- 1-Step Pro consistency: best day no more than 50% of total profit. A $4,200 best day needs $8,400 of total profit.
- Funded news cap: no more than 30% of profit from news trades, or the payout waits.
- Instant: on demand, 100% split, best day no more than 15% of profit, and the balance must be 3.5% above the start (3% cushion plus 0.5%). Asking for the cushion closes the account.
- Reset on payout: the account goes back to the initial balance while the payout is processed, and failing within 48 hours denies it.
- Minimums: $200 by bank via Rise, $50 in crypto. Close all positions and orders first.
News and weekend
Challenges have no news restriction. On funded evaluation accounts a trade opened, held or closed within 5 minutes of a red-folder release on that asset is a news trade, and those trades may make up no more than 30% of profit. Instant Funding is stricter: no opening or closing anything from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release, on related pairs and indices too, or the account fails.
Pro and Swing accounts can hold overnight and over weekends. Day accounts are closed at 16:55 New York time (3:55pm CT) daily. For Instant, the Instant Funding article allows weekend holds but the General Trading Guidelines say to close at least an hour before the Friday close; follow the stricter one until support confirms.
Worked example: $50,000 1-Step Pro
Day 1: daily floor $48,500, trailing floor $45,000, per-idea cap $1,000. You close the day at $52,000, a new high, so the trailing floor rises to $47,000.
Day 2 starts with equity at $52,000, so the daily floor is $50,500. A stop of $1,200 on one EURUSD idea would break the $1,000 per-idea cap even though the daily room is $1,500.
To pass you need a closed balance of $55,000 after at least 2 trading days. Once funded, a $2,000 best day needs at least $4,000 of total profit before the 50% consistency check lets a payout go.
How Proof tracks it
The Funding Traders presets carry each account's daily base (starting equity, starting balance or the higher of both), the static or trailing floor, the lock on Instant at 3% profit, and the per-idea or floating-loss cap, checked against your stop before each trade.
Proof also tracks the 50% or 15% best-day share, the 3% Instant cushion, the 30% funded news share and 5-minute blocks on each side of red-folder events. The payout date calculator counts the 21-day or 14-day cycle.

What is the Funding Traders daily loss limit?
3% on 1-Step Pro, 2-Step PRO6 and Instant; 5% on PRO10, Day and Swing. The base is the day's starting equity on 1-Step, starting balance on 2-Step and the higher of the two on Instant.
Is the Funding Traders max drawdown trailing?
On 1-Step Pro yes: 10% below the highest balance, with no lock. 2-Step accounts are static. Instant trails 6% until you are 3% up, then locks at the starting size.
How often does Funding Traders pay out?
Every 21 days on evaluation accounts, or 14 with the add-on. Instant Funding pays on demand once the 3.5% minimum and 15% consistency rule are met.
Can I trade news on Funding Traders?
In challenges, yes. On funded accounts news trades may make up no more than 30% of profit. On Instant you cannot open or close any trade 5 minutes either side of a red-folder release.
What is the Funding Traders consistency rule?
50% on funded 1-Step Pro: your best day cannot be more than half of total profit. Instant Funding uses 15%. Going over delays the payout rather than ending the account.
