DayTraders.com Rules Explained (2026)

DayTraders.com sells several futures account types, and each one counts trading days only when you make a minimum profit. Here is each rule with the numbers on a 50K. Rules were checked against DayTraders.com's published help center pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard before you trade.

Overview: Full, Static, EOD, S2F and S2L

Full evaluations use an intraday trailing drawdown. The 50K needs $3,000 with a $2,500 drawdown and up to 10 minis or 100 micros. Static evaluations use a fixed floor: the 50K needs $3,750 with a $1,000 static drawdown and 6 minis. Full EOD evaluations trail at the close: the 50K needs $3,000 with a $2,000 end-of-day drawdown and a $1,250 daily loss limit. All three pass in a minimum of 2 qualifying days with 50% consistency. Passing leads to a Pro funded account.

Straight to Funded (S2F) skips the evaluation. The 50K has an end-of-day trailing drawdown ($1,000 in the sizes table), 20% consistency, and payout targets that start at $3,500.

Straight to Live (S2L) is an evaluation for a live account. CORE (50K) needs $3,000 in at least 8 qualifying days with a $2,000 intraday trailing drawdown, a $1,000 daily loss limit, 2 contracts and 25% consistency. The live account pays 80%.

DayTraders.com advertises one standard price and a flat $5 activation fee; the help center does not print the evaluation prices. Check checkout.

Payout rules

  • Pro (Static or Trailing): 8 qualifying days between requests. On 50K the balance must be $52,600 to request and stay at $52,000 or more afterward. Up to $2,000 per request. No day over 30% of total profit. 100% simulated split.
  • S2F: 10 qualifying days between requests. On 50K you need $3,500 of profit for the first payout, $3,000 for the second and $2,500 after that, each counted from the balance left after the last payout. Up to $2,000 per request. No day over 20%; consistency resets after each payout.
  • All sim payouts: $500 minimum in $500 steps. The request day does not count as a qualifying day.
  • Live: daily payouts with no limit once the trailing drawdown reaches the initial balance, keeping a $1,000 buffer (withdraw above $51,000 on CORE). Split 80/20. Processed 5:00 to 6:00pm ET.
  • Promotion to live from Pro is discretionary. Above $10,000 in payouts, half goes to you and half to the live account.

News and trading hours

News trading is allowed on every account. DayTraders.com says it is not recommended because liquidity can thin and fills can be poor.

The trading day runs 6:00pm ET to 5:00pm ET the next day. Unlike most futures firms, DayTraders.com lets you hold past 4:59pm ET, overnight and over the weekend, and says it will not close your position. A mark-to-market move while you hold can still fail the account.

Worked example on a 50K

On a Full EOD 50K you start with a $48,000 floor and a $1,250 daily limit. Day 1 closes at $50,900, a qualifying day; the floor moves to $48,900. Day 2 closes at $51,600, so $3,000 is not yet reached. Day 3 closes at $53,100. Your best day was $1,500, which is under 50% of $3,100, so you pass with 3 qualifying days.

On the Pro account, after 8 days each making at least $200, a balance of $53,600 lets you withdraw up to $1,500 and still keep $52,000. The request is in $500 steps, so $1,500 it is, all of it yours under the 100% split, provided no day was over 30% of profit.

How Proof tracks it

Proof's DayTraders.com presets run the right floor for each account: intraday trailing, static or end-of-day. Risk Guard checks it against live equity, shows the daily limit on EOD and S2L accounts, and sizes contracts.

Proof counts only days that reach the minimum daily profit, checks your best day against 50%, 30%, 25% or 20%, shows the balance needed to request and to keep after the payout, and tracks S2F payout targets by payout number. Proof warns and tracks; it does not close trades at your broker.
