Prop firm rulesAudacity Capital Rules Explained (2026)
Audacity Capital sells three routes: the two-step Ability Challenge, the one-step Ability One and the FTP instant account. The drawdowns are static, but a 3-minute news window, a 2-minute minimum hold and a 10-lot cap per position catch traders who only watch the floors. Rules were checked against the firm's published pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard.

Overview: Ability Challenge, Ability One and FTP
Ability Challenge (2-step): Phase 1 asks for 10% with a 7.5% daily loss and a 15% max loss; Phase 2 asks for 5% with 5% daily and 10% max. Each phase needs 4 trading days. The live account keeps 5% daily and 10% max with no target. Sizes run $5K to $200K. In October 2026 the program page listed promotional prices from $32 for $5K to $682 for $200K ($357 for $100K), 35% below list prices of $49 to $1,049. The fee is refunded with the first qualifying payout.
Ability One (1-step): 10% target, 3% daily, 6% max, 3 minimum days. The same limits apply once funded. Listed from $69, refundable.
FTP (instant funding): no evaluation, 5% daily and 10% max loss. A 10% profit milestone and 5 trading days unlock the payout. Listed from $199, not refundable.
There is no time limit on any route and no consistency rule. Leverage is 1:100 on the Ability programs and 1:30 on FTP.
Rules that end the account
Audacity does not reset breached accounts. A breach means a new evaluation.
Payout rules
- First payout 14 days after your first live trade, then every two weeks.
- Split: up to 90% on Ability Challenge and Ability One live accounts, up to 80% on FTP. The program page calculator also shows 85% and 75% tiers without explaining them; check your contract.
- FTP payouts need the 10% milestone and 5 trading days with at least one trade each. The guide says the payout goes through a risk review of 1 to 3 working days, trading pauses during review, and a new scaled account is issued. The guide puts the FTP split at 50% to 80% depending on size, stage and speed.
- The Ability fee is refunded with the first qualifying payout; the FTP fee is not.
- Six months with no trading may mark the account inactive.
News and weekend holds
News trading is allowed, with a window: no opening, closing or adding to positions from 3 minutes before to 3 minutes after a high-impact release or speech. On FTP the guide also bans one-sided pending orders placed to catch a release.
Weekend holds are allowed on every route. On FTP the equity-based daily limit still applies through the Monday gap, so size weekend holds against that floor.
Worked example: $100,000 Ability Challenge
Phase 1: the daily floor is $92,500 every day (7.5% of $100,000), and the max floor is $85,000. Because both are fixed to the start, a $6,000 gain does not raise them. You need $110,000 and 4 trading days to pass.
Phase 2: the floors tighten to $95,000 daily and $90,000 overall, and the target is $105,000 with 4 more trading days.
Live: $95,000 daily and $90,000 overall stay fixed. A trader at $104,000 can still lose $5,000 in a day, not $5,200, because the daily limit is set from the starting balance rather than yesterday's close. Within that, no position can exceed 10 lots and no trade can close in under 2 minutes.
How Proof tracks it
Pick the phase and Proof sets the static daily and max floors from your starting balance, or the 95% intraday equity floor on FTP. Risk Guard shows live room to the nearer floor and flags any position over 10 lots.
The news calendar blocks 3 minutes each side of high-impact events, and Target counts the 14-day payout cycle from your first live trade. Use the drawdown calculator to compare static and trailing floors and the payout date calculator for the cycle.

The Audacity presets carry the static floors for each Ability phase, the intraday equity floor on FTP, the 3-minute news blocks, the 10-lot cap and the 14-day payout cycle, with live room left before every trade.
