Overview: Day Trading, Swing Trading and Edge
Trade The Pool is a stock and ETF prop firm that sizes accounts by buying power. Each style comes in a Flex and a Max version. Day Trading asks for 6%: Flex has a 2% daily pause, 4% max loss and no time limit, from $59 (5K) to $1,475 (200K); Max has a 1% pause, 3% max loss and 60 days, from $47 to $1,100. Swing Trading asks for 15% with a 3% pause and 7% max loss; Flex from $87 (2K) to $1,240 (40K), Max from $69 to $800 with 100 days.
The Edge program is a single evaluation at $50,000 ($156) or $100,000 ($266) with a 6% target, a 4% max drawdown and an end-of-day daily loss of 2.5% or 1.8% that disables the account. Its Pro stage pays 80%.
Flex and Max pay 70/30 across the board. The program page tables do not label which column is Flex and which is Max; the order and text point to Flex first, and the program terms confirm the time limits and consistency figures used here.
Rules that end the account
On Flex and Max the daily limit is a pause, not a breach. The max loss is the rule that terminates the account.
Payout rules
- Every 14 days on request, the first counted from the start of Professional trading or a newly scaled account. Processing takes 3 to 5 business days.
- At least $300 of balance after closing everything ($150 on $5K per the program page).
- Best-position rule: Flex caps any one position at 50% of profit in the evaluation and when funded; Max caps it at 30% in the evaluation, and Max Swing at 70% when funded.
- Flex needs 3 days of 0.5% profit in each reward cycle; Max does not.
- Edge Pro: 4% profit for the first withdrawal, then 1% ($50K) or 1.5% ($100K); $500 minimum, $1,500 or $2,000 maximum; 40% consistency.
News and weekend
News trading is permitted, including overnight before the 9:30am ET open. Earnings are the exception: tickers are disabled before an earnings release, and positions are liquidated at 3:50pm ET if the company reports that night.
Swing accounts may hold overnight and over the weekend, with full-size pre and post-market exposure. Day accounts are flat by 3:50pm ET every day.
Worked example: $50,000 Day Trading Flex
The daily pause is $1,000 and the max floor is $48,000. A $1,000 loss before noon stops trading for the day but does not end the account. Once equity reaches $53,000 (three times the $1,000 pause), the max floor jumps to $50,000.
To pass you need $3,000 and at least 10 positions, with no single position making more than $1,500 of it. Once funded, each 14-day cycle needs 3 days of at least $250 profit, and a request needs a $300 balance after everything is closed.
How Proof tracks it
The Trade The Pool presets treat the daily limit as a pause, keep the fixed max floor and move it to the starting balance once equity is three daily pauses up, and warn before the 3:50pm ET liquidation and earnings closes.
Proof tracks the best-position share and counts 0.5% profit days on Flex. The payout date calculator counts the 14-day cycle.
Proof tracks every Trade The Pool rule for you
The Trade The Pool presets treat the daily limit as a pause, move the max floor to the start at three pauses of profit, track best-position share and Flex profit days, and warn before the 3:50pm ET close.
