OneUp Trader Rules Explained (2026)

OneUp Trader's futures evaluation has no daily loss limit, but its drawdown trails open profit in real time and the funded account adds news, activity and probation rules. Here is each rule with the numbers on a 50K. Rules were checked against OneUp Trader's published pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard before you trade.

Overview: Evaluation, Pro Evaluation and Funded

OneUp Trader sells one-step evaluations in five sizes, $25K to $250K, billed monthly. On the 50K the profit target is $3,000, the trailing drawdown is $2,500 and the position limit is 6 contracts. The home page shows two price sets that differ only in minimum days: $75 a month with a 10-day minimum and $115 a month with a 5-day minimum. The help center calls the 5-day version the Pro Evaluation.

Every evaluation includes unlimited balance resets and a free 7-day trial. OneUp says half of the evaluation fee is paid upfront and the other half only when you pass and are funded.

To be funded you hit the target, meet the minimum days and pass the consistency check without touching the drawdown. You can hold up to three funded accounts. If a funded account is terminated, an Express account lets you restart at the same size within 24 hours, with a 3-day minimum.

Rules that end the account

OneUp has no daily loss limit, so the trailing drawdown carries all of the risk.

Daily loss
None on the evaluation or the funded account.
Max loss
$2,500 on 50K, calculated in real time and including open profit, commissions and fees. A new equity high during a trade lifts the threshold, and giving the profit back does not lower it. It stops at $50,000, the starting balance, once equity first reaches $52,500. The same lock applies on funded accounts.
Position size
6 contracts on 50K, counting all open positions across all products. 3 CL and 3 ES is 6.
Probation
Funded accounts have a 90-day probation from the first trading day. Net P&L must be above the starting balance at day 15 and every 15 days after.
Activity
Each funded week you must place at least 50% of your average weekly trade count from the evaluation.
Prohibited
Trades held under 10 seconds, trades exploiting data errors, hedging across funded accounts, and copy trading between accounts owned by different people.
Two strikes
News, activity, net-positive and scaling violations may get a warning before termination. Drawdown, hedging, copy-trading and trading-time violations can end the account immediately.

Payout rules

  • Threshold: withdrawals come only from profit above a threshold equal to the drawdown: $2,500 on 50K ($1,500 on 25K, $3,500 on 100K, $5,000 on 150K, $5,500 on 250K).
  • Split: you keep 100% of the first $10,000 of profit and 90% after that.
  • Minimum: $1,000 of your share per request. Requests are made Monday to Friday and qualifying ones are processed the same day.
  • Crypto: capped at $3,000 per request, one request per calendar week, with a 5% processor fee. Larger amounts go by bank wire.
  • After a payout the drawdown threshold does not move down, so a withdrawal reduces your room by the same amount.

News and trading hours

The evaluation has no news restriction. On a funded account you must close all positions before and during major economic releases; OneUp's own post on the two-strike policy describes the restriction as 1 minute around the release. Treat it as a hard flat window.

The trading day runs 5:00pm CT to 3:15pm CT. All positions must be closed by 3:15pm CT and no new positions may be opened between 3:15pm and 5:00pm CT. There is no overnight or weekend holding.

Worked example on a 50K

You start at $50,000 with a threshold of $47,500. A trade runs to $51,000 open profit and you exit at $50,400. The threshold is now $48,500, so your room is $1,900.

Over 10 days you make $3,200 with a best day of $1,000. Your next three best days are $500, $400 and $300, which total $1,200, more than the $800 needed for consistency. You qualify.

Once funded, equity reaches $52,500 and the threshold locks at $50,000. At a balance of $54,000 you can withdraw profit above the $52,500 threshold, $1,500, and keep all of it under the first-$10,000 rule. The threshold stays at $50,000, so your room is now $2,500.

How Proof tracks it

Proof's OneUp Trader preset runs a high-water floor that moves with open profit and locks at the starting balance. Risk Guard shows the room left from the peak and sizes positions against the 6-contract limit across all products.

Proof checks the 80% consistency rule, counts trading days, shows the withdrawal threshold, marks day 15 checkpoints during probation and blocks out major releases on funded accounts in the news calendar. A close alarm fires before 3:15pm CT. Proof warns and tracks; it does not close trades at your broker.

Proof tracks every OneUp Trader rule for you

The OneUp Trader preset trails the floor with open profit and locks it at your start balance, checks the 80% consistency rule, shows the withdrawal threshold, marks probation checkpoints and reminds you to be flat by 3:15pm CT.

Frequently asked questions

Is the OneUp Trader drawdown end of day?

No. It is calculated in real time and includes open profit. It trails each new equity high and stops at the starting balance once equity first reaches the start plus the drawdown ($52,500 on 50K).

Does OneUp Trader have a daily loss limit?

No. Neither the evaluation nor the funded account has a daily loss limit. The trailing drawdown is the only loss limit.

What is the OneUp Trader consistency rule?

Your next three best days combined must be at least 80% of your best day's net profit. With a $1,000 best day you need $800 across the next three.

Can I trade news on a OneUp Trader funded account?

No. Funded traders must close all positions before and during major economic releases. A first violation may get a warning under the two-strike policy.

How do OneUp Trader payouts work?

Withdraw profit above a threshold equal to the drawdown ($2,500 on 50K), with a $1,000 minimum. You keep 100% of the first $10,000 and 90% after.
