BrightFunded Rules Explained (2026)

BrightFunded sells three evaluations: the 1-Step, the 2-Step Bright and the 2-Step Classic. The daily loss is anchored to the higher of balance or equity at rollover, and the funded news window deducts profit rather than closing the account. Here is each rule on a $100,000 account. Rules were checked against BrightFunded's published help-center pages in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard.

Overview: 1-Step, 2-Step Bright and 2-Step Classic

1-Step: one phase with a 10% target, 3% daily loss and a 6% trailing max loss that locks at the starting balance.

2-Step Bright: 8% then 5%, with a 4% daily loss and an 8% static max loss.

2-Step Classic: 10% then 5%, with a 5% daily loss and a 10% static max loss.

Every plan needs 5 trading days per stage (an add-on removes this), has no time limit and no consistency rule. Sizes run $5K to $200K. The program pages list prices in euros: the 1-Step from €49 for $5K to €997 for $200K (€497 for $100K), and the 2-Step Bright from €47 to €947 (€477 for $100K), with a 25% promotion shown in October 2026. BrightFunded also credits 15% of your evaluation profit to a new funded account once you reach 10% growth when funded.

Rules that end the account

The daily and max loss are hard breaches measured on balance or equity at any moment, so an open loser can end the account before it closes.

Daily loss
A fixed amount set from the original account size (3%, 4% or 5% by plan), subtracted from the higher of balance or equity at rollover. Rollover runs 11:30 to 11:59 PM CET, about 4:30 to 4:59pm CT, and the firm advises against trading in that window. Accounts bought before September 22, 2025 use the older rule: 5% of size from balance at rollover.
Max loss
1-Step: 6% trailing the highest equity in real time, not just at day end. It locks at the starting balance once equity is 6% above it; on $100K that means the floor stops at $100,000 when equity first touches $106,000. 2-Step Bright: 8% static, a $92,000 floor on $100K. 2-Step Classic: 10% static, $90,000.
Trading days
A day only counts if at least one trade stays open for 60 seconds or more.
Inactivity
You need a trade held at least 60 seconds within every 30 days. Otherwise the account is deactivated, and if you do not ask support to reactivate it within 6 months it may be marked a hard breach. Pending orders do not count.
Prohibited
Hedging across accounts, trading on feed lag, coordinated multi-account trading, superhuman-speed bots, grid trading, arbitrage, tick scalping, high-frequency trading, overleveraging and account rolling.

Payout rules

  • First payout 30 days after your first funded trade. Then every 14 days by default, or every 7 days with the weekly add-on.
  • No minimum amount. The help center says you can request with as little as $0.01 of profit.
  • Split is 80% by default, 90% straight away with an add-on, and up to 100% through the scaling plan.
  • The 15% evaluation reward is paid as a bonus in the starting balance of a new funded account after you reach 10% growth and take that payout; one trade activates its cycle.
  • KYC with a valid ID and the funded agreement are required before the funded account is issued.
  • Funded news deductions reduce what you can withdraw: profit from trades in the news window is removed.

News and weekend holds

In Phase 1 and Phase 2 you can trade news without restriction. On funded accounts there is a 10-minute window around significant news: from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after. You cannot open trades, close trades, have a stop loss or take profit fill, or trigger stop orders inside it. Profit from those trades is deducted; it is a soft breach and the account stays open. Take profits on trades opened at least 48 hours before the event are not deducted. Instruments the release does not affect can be traded as normal.

Weekend holds are allowed on all accounts. Without the swap-free add-on, overnight and weekend swaps apply.

Worked example: $100,000 2-Step Bright

The daily limit is always $4,000 (4% of $100,000). The static floor is $92,000.

You end day 1 with a closed gain of $2,000. Balance and the end-of-day high are $102,000, so day 2's daily floor is $98,000.

You end day 2 with an open trade up $1,000 and balance at $102,000. Equity is $103,000, which is higher, so day 3's floor is $99,000. If that open trade turns into a $1,000 loss before rollover instead, balance ($102,000) is the higher value and the floor is $98,000.

The same moves on a 1-Step account would also drag the trailing max floor up with every new equity high until it locks at $100,000 once equity reaches $106,000.

How Proof tracks it

Pick the plan and Proof sets the fixed daily amount from your size, anchors it to the higher of balance or equity at rollover, and runs the static floor or the 1-Step equity trail that locks at your start. Risk Guard shows room to the nearer floor in real time.

On funded accounts the news calendar blocks 5 minutes each side of red folder events for the markets you trade, and Target counts the 30-day first payout and the 14-day cycle. Use the drawdown calculator for the floors and the payout date calculator for the dates.

Frequently asked questions

How does the BrightFunded daily loss work?

It is a fixed amount set from your original size (3%, 4% or 5% by plan) subtracted from the higher of balance or equity at rollover, between 11:30 and 11:59 PM CET. Accounts bought before September 22, 2025 use 5% from balance.

Is the BrightFunded drawdown trailing?

Only on the 1-Step. Its 6% max loss trails your highest equity in real time and locks at the starting balance once equity is 6% above it. The 2-Step Bright (8%) and 2-Step Classic (10%) floors are static.

Can I trade news on BrightFunded?

Yes in the evaluation phases. On funded accounts, trades opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after significant news have their profit deducted. It does not breach the account.

When is the first BrightFunded payout?

30 days after your first trade on the funded account, then every 14 days, or every 7 days with the weekly add-on. There is no minimum amount and the default split is 80%.

Does BrightFunded have a consistency rule?

No. The help center says BrightFunded does not currently enforce a consistency rule. You do need 5 trading days per stage, each with a trade held at least 60 seconds.
