Overview: 1-Step Classic, Pro, Turbo and 2-Step
Breakout, now owned by Kraken, runs crypto evaluations on its own terminal with no minimum days and no time limit. The 1-Step comes in three versions: Classic (10% target, 6% static drawdown, 4% daily), Pro (12% target, 5% static, 3% daily, up to $200,000) and Turbo (9% target, 3% static, 3% daily, up to $200,000).
The 2-Step asks for $250 then $500 on a $5,000 account (5% then 10%), with a 5% daily loss and an 8% drawdown that trails the high water mark and stops at the starting balance. Breakout's How it works page lists 2-Step fees from $50 (5K) to $749 (100K) and 1-Step fees from $60 to $999.
Leverage is fixed at 5x on BTC and ETH and 2x on everything else. The default split is 80%, and a 90% add-on can only be bought with the evaluation. You can run one evaluation at a time.
Rules that end the account
A breach is tested on equity including open positions. When it happens, positions close and the account is disabled permanently.
Payout rules
- On demand, 24/7, in USDC, once funded and in profit. Withdrawals are usually processed within 24 hours.
- No payouts during the evaluation.
- Split 80%, or 90% if the add-on was bought at purchase. It cannot be added later.
- KYC and the Funded Trader Agreement come before the funded account is enabled.
- Breakout's program rules page does not list a payout minimum or a funded-stage change to the drawdown, so check the funded agreement.
News and weekend
Breakout has no news rule: trading during news is allowed, subject to data and liquidity. Weekend holding is allowed and markets run 24/7 except for maintenance. Overnight positions pay the daily swap at 12:00 AM UTC, including over weekends. Thin weekend liquidity can widen spreads and gap prices through a stop, so size weekend holds against the daily floor rather than the stop distance alone.
Worked example: $50,000 1-Step Classic
The static floor is $47,000. At 12:30 AM UTC the balance is $50,000, so the daily floor is $48,000 at 4%, or $48,500 if your account is held to 3%. The target is $55,000.
A 2x position of $60,000 notional on SOL costs $21 to open and $21 to close in fees. Held through 12:00 AM UTC it also pays $30 in swap. A 1% move against it is $600, about 40% of a 3% daily allowance.
If you close the day at $51,200, the next daily floor is set from $51,200, but the static floor stays at $47,000.
How Proof tracks it
The Breakout presets use the 12:30 AM UTC balance for the daily floor, the static or locking trailing floor for your program, and include fees and swaps in live equity so the room shown matches the terminal.
Proof also flags the leverage cap on each symbol. The payout date calculator is not needed for on-demand payouts, but the drawdown calculator shows the 2-Step trailing floor at any balance.
Proof tracks every Breakout rule for you
The Breakout presets carry the 12:30 AM UTC balance daily floor, the static or locking trailing floor, fee and swap costs in live equity, and fixed leverage per symbol.

Yes to both. Breakout has no news restriction and crypto trades 24/7, but open positions pay a 0.05% daily swap.
