AquaFunded Rules Explained (2026)

AquaFunded runs about a dozen models, and the rule that most often closes an account is not the daily loss but the floating loss cap on instant and funded accounts. Here is each rule, with a $100,000 worked example. Rules were checked against AquaFunded's published help-center articles in October 2026; confirm in your dashboard.

Overview: the AquaFunded models

Instant (no evaluation): Instant Funding Standard (3% daily, 5% trailing), Instant Funding Pro (3% daily, 6% trailing) and Instant Flex (2% daily, 4% trailing, $5K to $100K).

1 Step: Standard (9% target, 3% daily, 6% trailing), Pro (6% target, 3% daily, 6% trailing that locks at the start) and Flex (10% target, 3% daily, 12% static on accounts bought from August 31, 2026).

2 Step: Standard (8% then 5%, 5% daily, 8% static), Pro (10% then 5%, 5% daily, 10% trailing) and Elite (8% then 5%, 4% daily, 10% static). 3 Step: 6% per step, 4% daily, 8% static.

Pay After Pass: $5 to start, a 3% target, then a one-time activation fee from $21 ($2.5K) to $1,367 ($400K), with $358 for $100K. TryAqua $1 and $10 trial models run for 30 days with a $100 withdrawal cap, and AquaMan (2% target) is sold on two weekends a month.

AquaFunded's help articles do not print prices for the other models; the homepage says from $14 for $5K and $283 for $100K without naming the model. Check checkout for your size.

Rules that end the account

Exceeding the daily or total drawdown is a hard breach on every model and closes the account at once, in evaluation and funded. All figures include closed P/L, floating P/L, swaps and commissions.

Daily loss
A percentage of the initial balance subtracted from the higher of balance or equity at the 00:00 UTC reset, which is 7pm CT during daylight time and 6pm CT in winter. A $100K account with a 3% daily limit and $101,000 of equity at reset has a $98,000 floor that day.
Max loss
Static from the initial balance on 1 Step Flex (12%), 2 Step Standard (8%), 2 Step Elite (10%) and 3 Step (8%). Trailing the highest balance or equity on Instant Standard (5%), Instant Pro (6%), Instant Flex (4%), 1 Step Standard (6%), 2 Step Pro (10%), Pay After Pass (5%) and TryAqua (5%); these never move down. 1 Step Pro and AquaMan stop trailing once the account is 6% up.
Floating loss cap
Instant Pro and AquaMan funded: open P/L of -2% of starting balance closes the account (-1% on $300K and $400K). Instant Flex and Pay After Pass: -1% closes it. Instant Standard and 1 Step Flex funded: each -1% hit is a strike that cuts the split to 50%, then 25%, and the third strike breaches. TryAqua: -2% closes it.
Trial limits
TryAqua accounts expire 30 days after the first trade and close when total withdrawals reach $100. One TryAqua account per user.

Payout rules

  • Payouts are every 14 days on request on every model. Add-ons at checkout give a first payout in 7 days or on demand.
  • Split is 90%, with a 100% add-on on most models.
  • Profitable-day minimums: Instant Standard, Instant Pro, Pay After Pass and TryAqua need 5 days with at least 0.5% profit each; Instant Flex needs 7; 1 Step Flex and 2 Step Pro funded accounts need 3.
  • Best-day rules block payouts but do not breach: 15% on Instant Standard, Pay After Pass, TryAqua and AquaMan; 20% on Instant Pro bought from September 8, 2026 (15% before); 25% on 1 Step Pro; 50% on 2 Step Pro funded accounts bought from August 31, 2026 (25% before).
  • Instant Flex caps each payout at 5% of the initial balance. Profit above the cap is deducted from the balance when the reward is processed.

News and weekend holds

AquaFunded's model articles do not state a news window or a weekend rule. A third-party review from July 2026 reports that news is unrestricted in evaluation, that funded profit from trades within 5 minutes of high-impact news is capped at 0.5% of the starting balance per payout cycle, and that weekend holding is allowed on every stage. AquaFunded does not confirm either on the pages checked, so check your dashboard before you hold through a release or a weekend.

Swaps apply to overnight and weekend holds and count toward both drawdown limits.

Worked example: $100,000 Instant Funding Pro

Day 1: the daily limit is $3,000 and the trailing floor is $94,000. The floating loss cap is $2,000, so the account closes the moment open trades are down $2,000, well before either drawdown floor.

By the end of day 1 equity peaks at $102,500 and you close at $102,000. The trailing floor rises to $96,500 ($102,500 minus $6,000) and does not come back down. At the 00:00 UTC reset balance and equity are both $102,000, so day 2's daily floor is $99,000.

To request a payout you need 5 days with at least $500 profit each, and on an account bought after September 8, 2026 your best day must be under 20% of total profit. A $2,000 best day needs more than $10,000 of total profit.

How Proof tracks it

Pick the model and Proof sets the daily floor from the 00:00 UTC high, the static or trailing max floor, and the floating loss cap. Risk Guard shows all three before each trade, so you can see when open risk, not the daily limit, is the nearest line.

Challenge HQ counts qualifying 0.5% days and checks your best day against the model's cap before a request. Use the drawdown calculator for trailing floors and the payout date calculator for the 14-day cycle.

In Proof

Proof tracks every AquaFunded rule for you

The AquaFunded presets carry the 00:00 UTC daily floor, each model's static or trailing max floor, the floating loss cap and strikes, the 0.5% day count and the best-day check, with live room left before each trade.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AquaFunded drawdown trailing?

On Instant, 1 Step Standard, 1 Step Pro, 2 Step Pro, Pay After Pass, TryAqua and AquaMan, yes: it trails the highest balance or equity and never moves down. 1 Step Pro and AquaMan stop trailing at 6% profit. 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Elite and 3 Step are static.

When does the AquaFunded daily drawdown reset?

At 00:00 UTC. The new daily floor is the higher of balance or equity at that moment minus the daily percentage of your initial balance.

What is the AquaFunded floating loss rule?

On instant and several funded accounts, open losses are capped at 1% or 2% of starting balance. On Instant Pro, Instant Flex and Pay After Pass, hitting it closes the account. On Instant Standard and 1 Step Flex funded accounts each hit is a strike that cuts the split.

How often does AquaFunded pay out?

Every 14 days on request, at a 90% split. Add-ons allow a first payout in 7 days or on demand, and a 100% split on most models.

Does AquaFunded have a consistency rule?

On several models. Instant Standard, Pay After Pass and TryAqua cap the best day at 15% of profit, Instant Pro at 20%, 1 Step Pro at 25% and 2 Step Pro funded at 50%. Breaking it delays the payout without closing the account.
